2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo
THE VEHICLE OFFERED
A Porsche sedan used to seem like a strange idea, and the first generation of the Panamera, did indeed look strange. Overtime the Panamera grew up and matured into the Prince Charming you love and desire.
Carmine Red with black leather interior is a combination to crave; simple and sleek yet sporty. Slide into the driver’s seat of the sedan and you’ll be treated with a heated carbon fiber steering wheel to wrap your hands around. As your eyes move around the interior you’ll find more carbon accents, adaptive cruise control, 4-zone climate control, power sun-blind in the rear, smoking package, Burmester Surround System, ambient lighting, and the Porsche Crest on the front and rear headrests. The build was checked off in all the right places with packages including the sport design package, carbon interior package, smoking package, premium plus package, sport and storage packages. Gaze around the Carmine Red exterior and you’ll notice it sitting on a set of 21” Jet Black Metallic SportDesign wheels with gloss black door handles and window trim. What you may not immediately notice on the exterior is the vehicle is protected with paint protection film.
Being a turbo model, this beast is fitted with a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 grounding 550hp and 567 ft/lb of torque. Providing you with a crisp throttle response while being soothed by the sport exhaust purring a rumble that’s never too loud or obnoxious. Along with the sport exhaust, the sport package also includes a neat trick, the dual-clutch which features launch control. This allows the Panamera to do clutch drops that, thanks to the Turbo’s AWD, will make anyone in the car gasp.
Although it’s window sticker is in line with other European model 4 doors, those big sedans will always read as sedans. The Panamera Turbo’s attraction lies in its meaningful connection to its brand’s heritage. This is really more of a modern-day 928 — a 4-seat GT with a V8 up front and build quality commensurate with the price.
